They were felt before falling
there was no holding back
a small sigh escaped me
then they began
one by one at first
creeping, then multiplying
slowly teasing, increasing
continuously flowing
until it hurt.
Down my face they gushed
like grand waterfalls
majestic, imposing
exposing my fears
leaving me frail, weak
weeping like a child
gasping for air
calling out your name
drowning in terror
drowning in
the great waterfalls.
